Stevenson school is fortunate to celebrate the Multicultural Night this year again along with its sister school, York Center. Our lion families showcased their multicultural talent through musical performances and participated in multicultural crafts and other activities.
Some of the performances included:
* Rocking Around the Christmas Tree by our Kindergarteners from Ms. Manzano’s class.
* El burrito Sabanero by our second graders from Miss. Guerrero’s class
* Punjabi Performance by Geet from Mrs. Singapori’s first grade class
* Rajasthani Performance by Vaani from Mrs. Mixa’s Kindergarten class
We had several multicultural activities planned for this event that enabled our community to connect with and learn more about their fellow classmates. Students had an awesome opportunity to wear their traditional outfits that represent their culture. Students received the multicultural passport as they learned about diverse cultures that our schools represent. We also had our PTA president and our Kindergarten teacher, Ms. Manzano who gave away cookies and lion pride signs to our lion community.
It was a remarkable adventure of cultures that our community represents and we are thankful to Mrs. Qazi, our EL teacher and specialist for collaborating and organizing such a wonderful event this year again.
