The bilingual teachers at Stevenson school collaborated to create an “ofrenda” or altar to remember loved ones who have passed away. Dia de los Muertos is a two-day celebration honoring life and death.
Students and teachers shared pictures of loved ones, including an adorable picture of their pet. Families donated the traditional “pan de muerto” (sweet bread), fruit, candy, fresh flowers and candy. Classes were welcome to visit and learn all about this special celebration as they visited the library.
