First graders proudly partner up with a selected Kindergarten buddy to share their love for reading. Kindergarten students look forward to seeing their “big” friends once a week. As Kindergarten student Andres said: “My big friend likes fire truck books like me!”. By modeling reading expectations as a first grader, to simply enjoying a book with a new buddy, our students look forward to these few minutes together and that, in itself is priceless!
