Kindergarten students and families walked to the York Center Fire Station last week. Students were given a tour of the inside of the fire station. Students were surprised to learn that a fire station is very similar to a home!
One student pointed to an empty sports drink bottle and said “You drink Gatorade too?”. Everyone in the room had a good laugh. Not only did students and families learn about fire safety, but they learned that we are all similar after all.
